Rent a boat at the Navy Yard in Washington, DC.

It's easy to rent a boat at the Navy Yard through GoBoat. Just book online and show up at our location 15 minutes before the booked time. The person renting must be 21 years old. We recommend to book online but maybe you're lucky that we have available boats if you show up at site.

Seen all the whole city already? Do you want your own experience on the Anacostia River? Then the GoBoat experience is perfect for you!

We'll teach you how to sail and instruct you about the rules. No license required. Have a look at how sailing a GoBoat works.

Rules and information about renting a GoBoat at the Navy Yard:

  • We are open daily.
  • Our opening hours are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
  • 8 people per boat. No license or prior experience needed. Alcohol consumption is allowed - we ask for moderation.
  • A GoBoat's speed is about 3 knots (3-4 m/h) so you can focus on each other and the sights.
  • Online rebooking or change to a voucher until 24 hours before departure. Refund available until 72 hours before departure.
